My fascination with blowguns evolved out of a growing interest in primitive living skills and primitive weapons and hunting. I started practicing with sling shots in the fall of 2003 and as outside practice became less practical I turned my attention to blowguns and other primitive living skills.
Here are some pics of the work I've been doing
with home made blowguns and darts:

My collection so far are all hand made. From left to right - .75cal X
6' ~ .50 Cal X 5' ~ .75 Cal X 4' ~ .50 Cal X 3' |
These photos of the mouth pieces show (left to right) .75 Cal (3/4") .50 cal (1/2") and .75 cal. The pipe on all three BGs is hard copper. The mp's are made of cpvc coupler. You can see the inside ridge below. This acts as a dart hold while tramping in the woods and then push forward to fully load the dart. When loaded darts don't come back on me. |

Styrofoam ball targets: |
I hung this 6" styroball
from a hanger and twine off an unfinished rafter in my basement. After
the first hit, I'm shooting a moving, spinning target. Since this shot was taken I went to a 4" styrofoam ball. The distance is approximately 20 feet. I've also switched from nail darts to bamboo skewers with pom-pom cones for my target dart of choice with this set up, though I like both. |

A variety of darts shot with a 5' X 50cal BG. Hard Copper Pipe with cpvc coupler for the mp. |

The cluster tightens with the .75 caliber X 4' BG. Noticc the knitting needle darts. The top one has suction cup cone. The other knitting needle dart has the .75 cal cone. I've since shortened the paper cones on the .75 cal darts. |
